Seeing Mike Abbott for the first time in real person. I talked about him in my GM thesis.

It was comforting seeing the Y2K feel. Carry a small Kodak camera and taking photos without hurry. Each click feels like a gentle return to the past, which has been waiting patiently for us to notice it again.

I decided to stop by when driving back from a meeting at campus. It's always here. Always so beautiful.

Zoppé Circus in Redwood City. It felt like drifting into a dream, as if I were watching this in a small village a century ago. The band was fantastic (the trumpet, percussion, accordian, bass), wrapping me in the rhythm like a live jazz set.
